Too many "outdoor" wall mounted basketball goals sold in the UK are not actually weatherproof. Some have plywood backboards which fail quickly in wet weather or UV and heat. Others use simply powder coated steel which quickly fails so that the brackets rust and create unsightly marks on your walls and ultimately fail.
